Gyatsho Tshering was an author and scholar who, among other accomplishments, established with the Dalai Lama a library to hold the archives of the Tibetan people in India. In 2008, Mr. Tshering shared his life story with 3rd grade students at Valley View Elementary School in Columbia Heights, MN, through the Elders’ Wisdom, Children’s Song program.
This music-film highlights the song Tibet, which came out of the interview in 2008. Footage includes Tibetan Uprising Day celebrations, Tibetan New Year and the Gyuto Tantric and Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery
