Moment of Decision
From the Album Live from Austin: Boycott Hormel
They say we should be happy
To compromise
When there are so many people
Out of work hoping to find
They say we should be thankful
But if they thought at all
They would know I’m with the union
On strike down at the hall
Cooking food for my brothers
Sisters out on the line
In the cold heart of winter
Walking with a picket sign
Where they said there would be violence
But what they got was a song
In these times of concession
The lines are finally drawn
Tell me what kind of person
Would cross a picket-line
Would they sneak up on their sister
Would they stab her from behind
Tell me, how can it be legal
For Hormel to steal and rob
Good hardworking people
Out of a job
In this moment of decision
The fight has just begun
Yes, I’m sticking with the union
Until this fight is won
I’m sticking with the union
Until every battle’s won
