Not sure where to begin
Nor when it might end

The price of eggs are going up
The President’s talking tough
To hell with Elon Musk
These are difficult times we’re in

In the land of the free
They don’t care about diversity
Nor the plight of the working man
They just don’t give a dam
If you’re Tran or GLBT
Go by they, she, or he
Or check a box ‘All or None’
In a world in need of love

These are difficult times we’re in
Not sure where to begin
Nor when it might end
These are difficult times we’re in

With a swastika on their wrist
Rounding up poor immigrants
Ship ‘em off to Guantanamo
Build a wall around Mexico
If they don’t like it, we’ll invade
Make them a part of the U.S.A.
Greenland & Canada, too
What the hell are we gonna do

Speak the truth, don’t tell lies
It’s time we organize
50 states in the U.S.A.
50 protests every day
Time to ring those bells
Of liberty and raise some hell
Before it’s too late
To defend the United States.
