One More Day In Isolation With You
From the Podcast Community of Goodness Podcast
When I think about the nurses
Doctors every day
Helping those on ventilators
The lives they now save
All of those health workers
Deserving of our praise
One more day in isolation with you
When I think about the children
Quarantined at home
All of those educators
Now working alone
Teaching our children
How to learn; how to grow
One more day in isolation with you
When I think about the homeless
Migrant refugees
In need of shelter
In the land of their dreams
Rounded up like cattle
Then forced to leave
One more day in isolation with you
When I think about the workers
Out in the field
Harvesting the crops
We cook for our meals
Those farmers going under
Beneath the land they till
One more day in isolation with you
When I think of the police
Out on the street
Those firefighters
In need of relief
From all of life’s dangers
May we all find some peace
One more day in isolation with you
One more day in isolation with you
If there ever was a time I needed you
That time is surely now
Thank you for all you do
One more day in isolation with you
