About the Festival : LarryFest was started by Larry Sabranek and his brother Doug. It evolved from the atmosphere created at Leo & Leona's Bar, just outside of LaCrosse. Leo & Leona’s was built back in the in the late 1800’s and is something like a “Luckenbach, Texas” for Midwestern musicians. It's a place where musicians gather with local farmers, working people, old and aging hippies, river rats and Franciscan theologians.
